Based in New York City, working in Emergency Medicine, Mauricio powered through the city’s first wave of COVID-19 and has come out stronger, with a renewed hope in humanity. While it was difficult for the husband and father to watch men his own age, with families of their own lose their lives; it also reminded him of the fragility of human life and the need to cherish it and spend it giving back.
