Bridget has her sights set on educating future generations of physician assistants and continuing to make a difference in her patients’ lives.

NO MATTER WHO YOU ARE, HOW OLD YOU ARE, WHAT KIND OF JOB YOU HAVE OR HOW SUCCESSFUL YOU APPEAR – WE ALL HAD TO GO THROUH 2020 TOGETHER.

WHY DO YOU LOVE BEING A PLASTIC SURGERY PA?

In plastic surgery, you are not limited by regions of the body. You can operate or treat anywhere. There is such a wide variety of cases to be seen, from breast cancers, to cosmetics, to wound care…. There is always something new to see.

WHAT IS A STEREOTYPE THAT IS TRUE ABOUT YOUR PROFESSION?

Our foreheads are smooth because we get botox

WHAT IS A STEREOTYPE THAT ISN’T TRUE ABOUT PLASTIC SURGEONS?

That all we do is make people fake and plastic looking. That couldn’t be FURTHER from the truth. Plastic surgery is so much more than breast implants.

WHAT WAS THE BIGGEST CHALLENGE YOU FACED IN 2020, AND HOW DID YOU OVERCOME IT?

Staying positive. There was a lot to process this year and at time, it was hard to be the “half glass full” girl. I learned that it is crucial to surround yourself with people who support and encourage you, even when you are wildly irritated, anxious, or frustrated.  You really are the sum of the people you surround yourself with, so choose them very wisely.

WHAT HAS BEEN THE MOST INSPIRING PART OF THIS YEAR?

This year I felt like we were all in it together.  No matter who you are, how old you are, what kind of job you have, how successful you appear – we all had to go through 2020 together. No one was getting ahead and we all were forced to ride the same wave. I found that inspiring because regardless of how different all of us are, we are all in the same boat.
